Halloween 2025 has officially wrapped, and I’m still buzzing from all the creativity that came out of this year’s Witch Hat Pattern! When I designed this pattern, I imagined a few fun variations and a sprinkle of spooky charm—but you brought the full magic. From classic black witch hats to bright, whimsical designs, your makes lit up the entire season.

Every Halloween, sewists come together with a shared love of handmade costumes—and this year, the creativity was off the charts. I received photos of:

🎃 Neon and glow-in-the-dark hats perfect for trick-or-treating
✨ Embellished hats featuring tulle, glitter, patches, and embroidery
🕸️ Textured fleece versions that were cozy, warm, and perfect for chilly fall nights
🌈 Rainbow and pastel witch hats made just for fun (and honestly, they were iconic)

Seeing how each maker interpreted the pattern truly reminds me why I love designing sewing projects—because no two creations are ever the same.

The Witch Hat Pattern was created to be:

I especially loved seeing all the creative twists—fluffy faux-fur brims, embroidered stars, mismatched fabrics, and even mini witch hats for pets. You all absolutely nailed it!
