Materials

Cotton Fabric

Fusible interfacing

Snaps or Velcro

Dimensions

  • 7 1/2″ x 7 1/2″  – Cut 1
  • 7 1/2″ x 16″ – Cut 1
  • 1 1/2″ x 3″ – Cut 1

Create a template for your tea bags slot

This template measures the size of your tea bag slot piece 16″ x 7 1/2″

Measure lines from one short side to the other, mark and fold at 4″, 6 1/8th, 10 7/8th, 13″

**Fold in an accordian style

Use this template to help fold your fabric in the right way

Top stitch along the folded edges

Place this piece right sides together with the outer fabric. place the tab piece on one side with the raw edges lined up with the raw edges of the main fabrics

Sew  down 3 sides leaving the top open, turn your wallet right sides out and install your closure system, i will be using plastic snaps

By turning it right sides out you can install your male snap on the tab piece and then fold in half and see where it will fall so you can install the female end and also hide the back of your snap between the layers

*once installed turn your piece inside out again, sew the last side up leaving a 3 in hole in the centre of that one side, flip right sides out and top stitch around the wallet folding the raw edges in at the hole to close up the hole. sew a seam down the centre to partician your slots
