Sweet Soft Easy Newborn mittens Crochet Pattern

Rnd 1 – begin with either ha Magic ring or… ) Ch3, slip stitch to create a ring, 10Dc into the centre of the ring (10)

Rnd 2 – Ch2 (counts as first DC) 2DC in each stitch, slip stitch to finish the round (20)

Rnd 3 – Ch2 (counts as first DC) *2Dc in first stitch, 1dc in next 2 repeat till end of round, slip stitch to ch2 to complete the row (27)

Rnd 4 – 8 – Ch2 1DC in each stitch (27)

Rnd 9 – ch2, Hdc in next stitch, skip one stitch chain 1, *1HDC in the next 2 stitches, skip one stitch chain 1, *repeat till end of the row  (this row will be for the ribbon or string)

Rnd 10 – ch2, 1HDC in each stitch,1HDC in the chain spaces as well. slip stitch to ch2 to complete the row

Round 11 will be the last row, i have 2 ways to complete this, in a simple way or in a more girlie way

Simple – Rnd 11 – ch1, 1sc in each stitch, slip stitch to chain1 to complete the row

Frilly- Rnd 11 – Ch2, skip 1 stitch, 5hdc in next stitch, *skip 1stitch, sc in next, skip one stitch, 5HDC in next stitch, repeat 4 more times for a total of 6 shells, sl stitch to ch2 to complete the row
