Quilted portion – Strips of cotton – 1″ wide
use a base fabric, place a strip down with the right sides against the base fabric, fold fabric over to expose right side of fabric, press and sew 1/4″ away from folded edge, place next piece of fabric with right sides down ontop of first strip lining up the raw edge, sew with a 1/4″ seam allowance, repeat by pressing strip open and do a 1/4″ seam allowance away from folded edge. and continue.
I created the book over by cutting the quilted fabric into a 4″ x 6″ piece, the binding piece 1/5″ x 6″, another cotton fabric 4″ x 6″ and a decorative 1″ wide strip
