Leg & Chair Feet covers crochet pattern

Why Chair feet protectors? of course for the obvious reasons it protects your floors! it also protects your legs from nicks and dents but have you ever used the awful sticky chair protectors?  if you have pets as i do those sticky circles hold onto the fur and you have some very hairy table/chair leg feet… so gross haha so these are great and can be popped in the wash!

This pattern is for a standard table or chair leg, this leg is 1″ in width, of course there are way to many chair and table legs in the world for me to make a cozy pattern for each one leg so i will try to give you a few tips on on how to create one that will fit your legs perfectly

For this pattern i used a Cotton yarn

i used a 5mm hook

Darning needle

I like to use this yarn as its nice and strong, wont stretch over time and washes nicely in the washing machine.

The pattern is as follows

Create a magic ring, chain 2, double crochet 9 into the centre of that ring (10)

Slip stitch into chain two

Round 2 – *Chain 2, 1 double crochet into each stitch, slip stitch into chain 2 (10)

Round 3 – 5 * Repeat

If you want your cover to cover more of your table length you can add addition rows just repeat until you have reached your desired height

If you are having any difficulty please refer to the instructional video below

My Advice for you is to create this pattern try it on your chair and if it doesnt fit then you can adjust the pattern to meet your needs, if it fits then of course continue on making more to fit all of your chairs

If you have a tapered leg where the base is larger and it gets thinner then you can weave yarn through the stitches and create a tie around it so you can tighten it around the leg

If your base is smaller then 1″ then you can still follow the pattern with the stitches in a magic circle but to make it smaller use half double crochets or single crochet

Create a larger base

10DC in the centre of a magic ring and for the next round 1dc in the first 2dc in the next, repeat around till the end of the round

If this round fits then you will continue your rounds with 1stitch into each stitch

and for your height you can add or decrease the amount of rows until you have reached your desired height and how much of the leg you want to cover.
