Get the 0 – 4 year pattern here!

The video also gives you tips and tricks when sewing leather

I cut the fringe and sole out of Suede and the rest of the slipper is made out of recycled leather from an old coat

Place the fringe piece ontop of the toe piece and sew along the top of the rectangle and 1/2″ from that seam. This will create a casing for the elastic

Grab the 0 – 4 year pattern here!

Take the heel  fringe piece lay it right side down, lay the heel piece right side down on top with the edge 3/4″ down from the top of the fringe piece, fold the fringe piece over the raw edge of the heel piece and clip into place, sew along the fringe piece edge and this will create the elastic casing

So sorry i forgot to photograph the heel fringe part so please check out the video to see those instructions

To make things easier you can use some school glue for the next two parts or clips as to not puncture the leather

line up the centre of the heel piece with the centre of the  back of the sole, manipulate the leather to curve around the sole, sew along that edge at 1/4″ seam allowance

place the toe portion on lining up the centre of the toe piece at the top of the sole, make sure you are sewing all the pieces inside out, sew along that edge with a quarter of an inch seam allowance

Flip the  shoe right sides and prepare your elastic for insertion, i used a plastic needle and threaded a piece of thread through the needle and the elastic i found this made it easier to slip through the letter

Pull the elastic out and sew the raw edges together, put the elastic to your desired ankle size

my Elastic is about 6″ long 1/4″ thick

Using sharp scissors slip the leather with quarter of an inch fringe, you can do this part in any way you like of course 🙂
