Cute Cork Pouch

Welcome to the Cork Corner Pouch tutorial! here you will find the measurements, products and tools i use to make this as well as more photos for greater success to achieve this project!

Supplies

Cork Fabric – In Canada – www.MMCorksupply.com or straight from the source www.MBcork.com

Cotton Fabric (optional for these pieces but they are very nice made entirely with Cork or Vinyl fabric

Zippers size #3 – https://amzn.to/3iTudhH

Glitter vinyl (great for corner accents) – https://amzn.to/2EdSRKI

Measurement

Outer fabric – Cut 2 – 6″ x 4″

Lining Fabric – Cut 2 – 6″ x 4″

Corners – Cut 1 – 3 1/4″ x 3 1/4″ Cut diagonally in half to create two equal triangles

Tab – 1″ x 3″ out of cork or vinyl, or 2″ x 3″ out of Cotton fabric

For Cotton fabrics using interfacing works best – Medium – Heavy Weight fabric

1 – 1/2″ D Ring

1 – 6″ + Zipper

Ling up the triangles with the right sides down, evenly place them 1″ from the top and centred in the middle having them touch. make sure they are hanging off the edge by 1/4″ which is your seam allowance. mark along the edge of the triangle, sew the triangle onto the outer fabric making sure it stays lined up with this make, fold the corner down and top stitch.

Making sure your zipper opens from left to right, place zipper on outer fabric with zipper pull towards outer fabric, place lining ontop right sides together lining up the raw edges

place remaining two fabrics on otherside of zipper, folding over and doing a top stitch, create the loop strap, with cork i folded inhalf once and sewed down both sides to create strap. cut down to approx. 1″ slip D ring on and place above the left corner.
